    Another Player Update

I had a number of glass/glassware libraries so Bombay Glassware was one of the few IS libraries that I didn't didn't purchase the original/v1 version of. The update to the new velocity-based articulation grid GUI that I've been experiencing in other IS products made this an immediate, no-brainer buy. Dropped a star because (1) I can't seem to (and wish there was) a way to lock the articulation grid settings when changing pages and (2) there are no presets/snapshots---and designing new sounds, other than stacking articulations, takes a while to get used to. Despite that, I was able to coax some unexpected and unusual sounds with the articulations and controls available. However, the performance aspects are where this instrument, and other recent IS updates, shine and becomes a lot of fun. Oh, and I have to shout-out appreciation for the intro deals and free updates/upgrades. They say a lot for Insanity Samples.

    Cool textures

Since I was able to get this sample set/VI on sale, it was well worth it. Some cool, biting sound textures in a nifty little Kontakt instrument. I haven’t used it in any arrangements or soundscapes, but I can imagine it fitting quite nicely into some ambient tracks.
